About the Program

Program Overview

Learn Korean in the heart of Hongdae, Seoul, around five minutes from Hongik University Station. With new students able to begin every Monday throughout the year, this flexible program lets you study from a minimum of two weeks and choose the pace and focus that matches your goals.

Every course develops practical Korean through lessons with native teachers and integrated practice in speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar. Choose General Korean with 25 blocks per week, Semi-Intensive with 29 blocks, Intensive with 35 blocks, the K-POP course with 34 blocks, or TOPIK Preparation with 29 blocks. One block is 35 minutes, and each course also includes a 20-minute bonus block.

The K-POP option combines Korean lessons with dance and vocal classes plus K-POP-themed activities such as HiKR Ground, dance-studio visits and entertainment-company tours. TOPIK Preparation offers a focused exam curriculum from four weeks in four-week units. Special Focus Lessons connect Korean with current trends, culture and real-life situations, while language activities, workshops and social and cultural programs help students experience Seoul beyond the classroom.

Classes are available from Starter to Advanced, and absolute beginners who cannot yet read Hangul are welcome. Placement uses an online level test and student survey after registration, followed by an on-site speaking test at orientation when needed. Students also receive progress testing, a welcome activity, orientation and a course certificate with a completion ceremony.

Accommodation is available and provided by the school. Package options include a Mini Studio Single room with a private bathroom and a free one-way airport transfer. Other single and twin-room choices are available.

Airport transfers are available from Incheon and Gimpo airports. A free one-way transfer is included with package courses.

About the Institution

Rolling Korea

Rolling Korea

Seoul (Hongdae)

Rolling Korea is a Korean immersion school in Hongdae, one of Seoul's most creative and student-friendly districts. Established in 2012, Rolling Korea combines Korean-language education through Rolling Language Academy with accommodation, cultural activities, community events and practical support for life in Korea. The result is a connected study-abroad experience that helps international students build confidence in the classroom and use Korean naturally throughout the city.

Students can choose Intensive Korean, Semi-Intensive Korean, General Korean, Korean plus K-pop, TOPIK Preparation, private lessons, Semester or Year Abroad and seasonal Summer Camp options. Programs welcome learners from Starter to Advanced level, with complete beginners supported through dedicated entry points. Most courses begin every Monday throughout the year and can be arranged from a short two-week stay to a long-term program of up to 52 weeks.

Core Korean lessons develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar. New students complete an online placement test and survey before arrival, followed by an on-site speaking assessment during orientation. Depending on the course, students can add special-focus lessons, TOPIK preparation, K-pop vocal or dance training and organised social activities. Weekly completion ceremonies and Rolling Korea certificates celebrate each student's progress.

The Hongdae campus offers modern glass-walled classrooms, a Global Lounge for activities and self-study, R Cafe, free Wi-Fi, computers, magazines and a student snack bar. The school is located at 3F, Daesang Building, 19 World Cup buk-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, close to Hongik University Station and the cafΓ©s, music, shopping and nightlife that make Hongdae one of Seoul's most exciting international neighbourhoods.

Rolling Korea can arrange furnished single-room accommodation in Hongdae, including compact private studios, larger private rooms and modern co-living options. Current accommodation choices include private bedrooms and bathrooms, shared kitchen access, Wi-Fi and utilities, with school-approved buildings generally within a five to twenty-minute walk of campus. Airport transfers from Incheon and Gimpo, arrival guidance and ongoing English-language support can also be arranged.

Rolling Korea is an excellent choice for students who want more than classroom study. Most participants travel independently, making the school especially welcoming for students who want to meet people, join a supportive international community and experience everyday Seoul with confidence.

Asia Pathway can help students select the right course, study length, accommodation and arrival services, then guide the application from planning through enrolment.
